We sauntered off into the woods to find this year's Christmas Tree. Jazzy is standing next to it with Angel looking on--giving her approval.The Christmas Tree selection is always an item of controversy. We have rules: 1. the tree needs to be in a place where it is crowded out by others (thinning); 2. I prefer if the tree is half dead (Joni nixed the tall one I wanted to cut because it had too many dead needles); 3. We all need to agree on the tree. This is a process that takes hours, has multiple arguments and a few shed tears.

The Nature Conservancy promotes the use of real trees. If your going to have a tree at all...a real tree is better for the enviroment. (unless you keep your fake tree for more then 10 years...avaerage is less then 8) This seems to go against most peoples instincts on conservation..but it's true.
