The second day of our hike. The last half of the first day's hike were plagued by high winds and rain. A storm was raging on the upper half of the mountain. Our guide decided that it was not safe to go up any higher--that to go up to the Continental Divide in a storm was foolish.So we stayed at Camp One for the day. It rained. The wind blew. I stayed in my sleeping bag for much of the day.
Ian, who is in good shape, went with Eduardo (one of our guides) to scope out the Green Wall. He actually climbed to the top of it just for fun. He came back reporting that "you know, we really could use some ropes on that thing".
