Rode the long way to the Farmhouse restaurant to catch up with a friend/colleague. Had some extra time, so I went the long way, via LaConner, adding 8 miles but avoiding some highway. Rode back the short way. I like riding bike... ;-)

Another slacker day yesterday. It's much easier for me to ride when I have a purpose -- appointment, consultation, visit, meeting, etc.

Today I rode to meditation and back -- normal route. I felt tired, but I did a good average despite it, and didn't feel like I was pushing. Or maybe it's just that I'm getting close to getting the speedometer calibrated properly -- down to one hundredth off, according to the Dog Island Run mile markers.

Just found this:

“Every time I see an adult on a bicycle, I no longer despair for the future of the human race.”
