Hot today. I couldn't get a decent shot of this Delphenium. These cheap cameras don't always focus on what you want them to focus on.

A one hour walk. Brady (the dark dog) joined us for most of it.

Into the car I go now, for the 165 mile journey to work. I will be in the Napa Valley for five days before returning back to my Foothills home.

Allan walks to drive to walk. Today I bicycled to drive to bicycle.
Went down to Sea-Tac to pick up our oldest daughter to deliver her to her sister's for the pre-graduation hanging out.
Financially and environmentally, not brilliant. About 250 miles of driving. But spiritually and emotionally, it was great to connect with the young ladies I have been blessed to help into the world.
On bike, to and from the ferry:

32.63 mph max
Rode partway across the island with Rufus, a casual acquaintance from many years ago -- I last remember his daughter as 4 years old and she just finished her first year of college. Cars would have made our visit impossible, but we comfortable biked together for a mile and chatted. Then I saw Gary and did a little reconnoitering for another adventure. Bikes rock.
Early ride today, and I did the figure 8, only stopping to glimpse and sigh at my father-in-law's headstone at the cemetery.

12.00 mph average

I need to tweak the calibration on my speedometer. Today checking it against the markers on the road (in miles) for the island run (10K), it's running a little generous. So my rides are slightly less impressive than they sound. ;-)
Well Ian, I am impressed. You mentioned out biking a younger family member. Is this true? Have you noticed getting into better shape?
